I am responsible for overall church vision and direction, overseeing our teaching and preaching, and developing our staff and key volunteer leaders. I am a teacher to my core and I'm always looking for new ways and opportunities to help people KNOW God, GROW in their faith, and GO where He sends them.I was born on May 5th, 1980 in Maumee, OH. I began following Christ as a sophomore in high school after attending a week at a Young Life camp. It was the best week of my life! I stayed involved with Young Life through high school and became a volunteer Young Life leader while attending Bowling Green State University. After graduating in 2002 I took a full-time staff position with Young Life where I stayed for eight years.
I "met" (we actually went to high school together but she wouldn't give me the time of day) and married my wife, Kari, in 2005. Four years later we welcomed our daughter, Nora, four years after that added our son, Ryder, and three years after that added our youngest, Lucy. I tell Kari all the time, "I'm living my dream."
While working for Young Life I completed a Master's Degree in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary and after a series of God movements in my life came to the conclusion that He was asking me to come to Waterville Community Church, which I did in October of 2011. I love our church family and I'm excited about the kind of church we're becoming with each passing season.

I am responsible for executive pastor duties. How’s that for clarity? I have worked at WCC since 2003 and have pretty much done it all at one point or another, so my title now encompasses a variety of responsibilities and includes but is not limited to development and oversight of administrative procedures; church finances; oversight of building and facilities; volunteer recruitment, training and development; preaching and teaching; and community care.I’m a home girl; grew up in the country – to get to my house you had to go to Waterville, take a right, and drive to the middle of nowhere; by the way, it’s true, you can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl - actually in my case, you can’t really take the girl out of the country either, unless it’s for something like a shopping spree or a nice dinner out!
I met my husband, Jeff, in 1990. We have radically different versions of the story, but I eventually gave him the right (as opposed to the wrong) phone number, we went out and we’ve been together ever since. We have two awesome sons, Seth & Noah who continue to become incredible men. Jeff keeps busy as a coach and consultant, as well as planning our social calendar.
I am a graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and Western Michigan University. In my previous career as an Occupational Therapist I worked with people on what we called lifestyle redesign following injuries and illnesses but I consider my ‘work’ here to be about helping people with the ultimate lifestyle redesign, through Jesus and I love it!

I am responsible for developing and overseeing our ministry to families with children 0-18 fulfilling our mission to Produce People Who Love God and Love People. A.K.A All things families and fun!I was born and raised in the Toledo area and am a graduate of Springfield High School and the University of Toledo. I grew up in a Christian church-going family but it was not until junior high and being involved in the ministry of Young Life that I learned following Jesus was about so much more than attending church. I volunteered for Young Life while in college and I worked for Young Life in Bowling Green, Ohio and in Oxford, Pennsylvania for about 6 years. Despite moving away this church has always felt like home to me and my family no matter where we were living and it is exciting to get to work here now.
My husband (see Dustin's bio above) and I met in college, got married (according to him it was relatively quick but to me it couldn’t happen soon enough), and worked full-time in ministry together for about 3 years. Three kids, two states, and several homes later we are back working together in ministry which is very exciting. In so many ways it is a blessing to be in this community and a part of this church.

My role here at WCC is to disciple people through music and arts, and create an atmosphere in which people can connect with God through music and media. I grew up in a Christian home, prayed "The Prayer" at the age of five, but it took me a decade to realize that my faith in Christ was not something I could simply inherit from my parents—I had to own it. That's when I made a commitment to follow Christ wholeheartedly. Around the same time I began using my musical talents in the church.
I met my wife Emily in 2003, and we were married in 2005 at Waterville Community Church. A year later we moved to West Virginia to serve as youth and worship directors for a non-profit in one of the poorest counties in the U.S. Our four years serving there brought incredible spiritual growth, eye-opening life experiences, and the blessing of our first two children: Gabriel (2008) and Silas (2009).
In 2010 we moved back NW Ohio. We began attending WCC in 2012 and I joined the music team as a volunteer later that year and then joined the staff full-time in July 2013. We've added two more children: Eliana (2012) and Rosalie (2015). As a family we enjoy all things outdoors - especially the Toledo Metroparks, cycling on the Wabash-Cannonball Trail, sledding at the "big hill," and reading and playing games together when the weather keeps us inside.
